EDUCATION
Our educational efforts are focused in separate, but equally important areas…

Circus Arts School Program
Circus, being unique, visual and exciting, offers a solid foundation for learning. Imagine students calculating the gravitational force of the trapeze artist as s/he swings from point A to point B on the flying trapeze, or learning how friction and gravity hold a spinning plate on a tall, narrow stick. Written by educational specialists, this innovative curriculum package for students in grades K-5 covers mathematics, science, social studies and language skills.

Special Education
Circus Sarasota periodically offers  individualized programs to at-risk students in Sarasota and Manatee Counties. These programs offer students an alternative educational tool to develop discipline, self-esteem, teamwork and leadership skills through the circus arts. Activities are designed to meet students' physical, emotional, and educational needs by using the circus as the means of working toward a positive, productive future.

Circus Arts Education
Circus Sarasota presents periodic interactive programs designed to teach and inform the public about our rich circus history in Sarasota and about the circus in America.. Meet the clowns; learn face painting, balloon twisting, magic, juggling and more.

Circus Sarasota School of Performing Arts
Our long-range goal is to have a permanent professional circus school based in Sarasota County, offering a progressive educational program to keep the circus arts alive. Our aim is to educate and encourage students to achieve professionalism and excellence in the circus arts, while embracing all performing arts. Child, Adult and Advanced Development courses will be offered. Working toward this goal, Circus Sarasota currently conducts limited Circus Arts workshops at various times throughout the year.

Circus Sarasota admits students of any race, color, national or ethnic origin to all rights, privileges, programs, and activities generally accorded or made available to all students at the school. It does not discriminate in the administration of its educational policies, admissions, scholarship or loan programs and athletic or other school administered programs.
